Network Lunch Reminder - Tuesday, March 2nd

We believe that Oklahoma City can be transformed by the Son of God, the Spirit of God, and the People of God.  We are committed to encourage and challenge the Church to remember its mission to meet the needs of the community.  Our role is to network and mobilize the Church to strategically partner together on behalf of the poor and forgotten among us.

There are a handful of things that I’d like to remind you of:
We will be gathering for lunch at Cross & Crown Mission located at 1008 N. McKinley Ave - OKC, OK 73106 next Tuesday, March 2nd from 11:45am to 1:00pm.

The story of Cross & Crown Mission is the story of eight people in a small group surrounding a couple who were being called to the urban core of our City.  Since 2001, Cross & Crown has been committed “To Proclaim The Love, Mercy and Hope of Jesus Christ through Service and Prayer.”

We are partnering with A Home In Haiti and 75 other local tent drive leaders across the country to help provide an immediate home in Haiti for people that so desperately need it.  So far, A Home In Haiti has received 1,417 tents for 6,366 people.

In just a few days, it will begin to rain regularly in Haiti.  Could you imagine living outside, permanently, in the rain, with nothing but cloth sheets held up by stick to protect you?  Currently, this is set to be the very harsh reality for over 700,000 Haitian men, women, and children who still have nothing to protect them from the elements.

I look forward to partnering together for Sharefest 2010 - Celebrating Five Years of Demonstrating the Love of Christ To Our Community.

Over the past several years, more than one hundred churches and thousands of citizens have come together to participate in Sharefest.  I am greatly encouraged by the response of the local Church to address the needs of our City.  Sharefest has been instrumental in mobilizing the faith community to make Oklahoma City a better place to live for all people in Jesus’ name.

We are counting on your continued commitment to sign up and submit a project to serve on Saturday, April 17th.  We are simply asking you to select a work project of your choice and serve in a coordinated one-day effort together with other congregations across the Oklahoma City metro area.

May I count you your church to participate?  If so, reply to this email with a simply “Yes.”

Click Here to sign up now.

Please let me know if I can serve you in any way.  I look forward to gathering together with you next Tuesday, March 2nd at Cross & Crown.

For The Good of The City,
Ben Nockels
