ShareFest Spotlight: Positive Tomorrows

On Saturday, April 17th, churches like yours across Oklahoma City are invited to take part in Sharefest, a one-day blitz of service.  Each church is encouraged to select a project that will be of significance to the surrounding community - one act of kindness that blesses families, neighborhoods, or schools.

Every year we invite non-profit organizations and compassionate ministries to submit a project.  These are organizations that have a worthwhile cause but are in need of volunteers to help meet practical needs.  For the next several days leading up to Sharefest, we will be highlighting one of these organizations so that you and your local church might consider partnering with one of these great ministries.

Positive Tomorrows - A Sanctuary of Hope.

From the Positive Tomorrows website, “A Sanctuary of Hope; educating homeless children and their families for life. We provide private, free education that cares for the special needs of Oklahoma City homeless children, Kindergarten through 5th grade. Our teachers, social workers, and a host of volunteers nurture these children academically, socially and emotionally, preparing them for a seamless transition into public school as successful students and citizens.”

Please contact Max Showalter with Draper Park Christian Church  by email atdpccjm@coxinet.net or by phone at 250-9794 to make plans to partner with Positive Tomorrows to help with some general painting and cleaning.

Please contact Rex Barrett by email at Rex.Barrett@SharefestOKC.com to let us know if you plan to help meet this need.

Let’s be the answer to our own prayers!
