On Saturday, April 17th, churches like yours across Oklahoma City are invited to take part in Sharefest, a one-day blitz of service. Each church is encouraged to select a project that will be of significance to the surrounding community - one act of kindness that blesses families, neighborhoods, or schools.
Every year we invite non-profit organizations and compassionate ministries to submit a project. These are organizations that have a worthwhile cause but are in need of volunteers to help meet practical needs. For the next several days leading up to Sharefest, we will be highlighting one of these organizations so that you and your local church might consider partnering with one of these great ministries.
YWCA
Did you know? The YWCA is the oldest and largest multicultural women’s organization in the world. Their mission is to eliminate racism and empower women. They provide safe places for women and girls, build strong women leaders, and advocate for women’s rights and civil rights in Congress.
Do you want to help beautify their property? You ready to get out in this beautiful spring weather? Please contact Kathy Lippert at jlipp2001@aol.com with Messiah Lutheran Church to find out the specifics on how you can help!
Let’s be the answer to our own prayers!
