It was exciting to follow the results of Sharefest via Twitter and now we have emails coming in too. Thought I’d share one of them with ya’.

After the Fact: Approximately 30 Lakeside volunteers descended on Skyline Urban Ministry’s Mckee Center on S. 15th to sort clothes, fit free prom dresses for young ladies, build shelves, clean closets, clean inside & out, do yard work at homes of Skyline’s neighborhood elderly, etc. Much awesome work was accomplished. 10 more Lakeside volunteers - & one from Village UMC - also descended on Epworth UMC at 19th & Douglas to paint a huge room that houses Skyline’s JETS program for inner city youth. People worked hard from 9am to 3 pm, stopping only for lunch. 10 more volunters from Lakesdie & Mayfair Heights UMC made lunc for all. IT was GREAT!
