Covenant Presbyterian Church and The Children’s Center

This was Covenant’s third year to participate in ShareFest and our mission project focused on The Children’s Center in Bethany.

Covenant volunteered to help The Center with weeding their courtyards and front entrance, but Saturday’s rain made it impossible to complete our primary goal.

However, the family and friends of Covenant came through with the following: two members made eight special bibs for the children, and one made a poncho (patterns given to us by The Center); donations of hygiene supplies for babies through adults, and personal or miscellaneous items from The Center’s “basic needs list’ were collected; and most of the cash donations received were used to purchase whimsical and colorful garden decorations for The Center’s courtyards. We encourage everyone to find our more about The Children’s Center and if possible, become a volunteer.

The Children’s Center in Bethany is a private, non-profit pediatric hospital serving children with complex medical and physical disabilities. Ranging in age from birth to 18, patients receive state-of-the art medical and respiratory care, rehabilitative therapies and education classes. It is a place of hope and healing for children and their families.
